Located in the suburb of McLeodganj in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, the famous Tibetan Museum is very popular.  Marked as the official museum of the Department of Information and International Relations of the Central Tibetan Administration, it is located very close to the Dulai Lama Temple, known as Tughlaqhong, where his holiness is located.  The Tibetan Museum is a masterpiece of Tibetan craftsmanship that includes history reports, pottery, handicrafts, and various canvases.  Engineering Built in the traditional yellow and white Tibetan engineering style, the exterior of the museum spreads positive energy that forces people to see and explore what the museum has to offer.

Current Exhibition: The current exhibition in the museum showcases recent events in Tibet that are known throughout history.  These are updated from time to time and various posters and banners and posters are affixed for this purpose.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit Mleodganj was between March and July. During the monsoon season, Maklodganj experiences heavy rainfall and it is icy in winter.  The Buddhist Loser Festival is held in March and you can enjoy your holiday at this time.

How to Reach:

To reach the museum, one should take a non-public vehicle, taxi or a bus to McLeodganj.  The landmark of the lama Temple isn’t enough to succeed in the Tibetan deposit if there’s any confusion regarding the placement of the locality.

The museum is definitely accessible from each the aerodrome and therefore the train station. The nearest airport is Gigal Airport.  You can hire a taxi from there and get here directly.  Also, Kangra Railway Station is the closest to the Tibetan Museum.  You can arrange a private car or take a cab.
