What is Tapovan Hill?
Tapovan Hill is well-known for Tapo Nath Mahadev and this mandir is devoted to Lord shiva. These hills are located 10 km from Deoghar Town. On this hill, the only attractive thing is the mandi and only the mandir people visit this place.

History of Tapovan Hill:
Tapovan was the military camp of the palas in ancient times and we find an inscription Shri Deo Narayan Pal. Most of the people say that devotees visit tapovan and get the fruits of Baidyanath Darshan. And most of the people believe that the old Valmiki came here for penance. Sri Balananda Brahmachari and Sri Mohananda Brahmachari used to come there.
What are the inside and outside views of this hill?
This hill is full of attraction and this mandir attracted this place very much. On the inside surface of the crack, you can see a portrait of Hanuman, and it’s an amazing feat as it is practically impossible to insert a paintbrush in the crack and draw anything.
Below the hill, there is a small cemented water body and it is called Sukta Kunda ( Sita Kunda). It’s believed that Sita used to take bath there and that’s why it’s holy water. In the old days, it’s a meditation spot for the Nagas.
