Emperor Diocletian tortured her in different ways that all came to end in miraculous ways of healing. Finally, at the age of 13, Philomena was beheaded. She was venerable, blessed, and miracles performed by God for her. All this dignity drove her to become a saint. That’s how Philomena became Saint Philomena.
