About Sri Venkateswara National Park:
Sri Venkateswara National Park is a national park in Andhra Pradesh, India and is an important area of the biosphere reserve with a total area of 353 sq km. Not just a national park in name, it has been attracting tourists for many years with its conservation of various species of plants and animals. The park also has several waterfalls. Among them Talakona, Gundalakona and Gunjana waterfalls are well known. This park is a green paradise for nature enthusiasts. Flora and Fauna of Sri Venkateswara National Park:
The national park contains about 1,500 vascular plant species belonging to about 174 families, most of which are endemic. There are also some rare species of plants. Shorea thumburggaia, Terminalia pallida, Sandalwood, Cycas beddomei, Syzygium alternifolium, Red sanders, Psilotum nudum occur are some of them. About 178 species of birds have been identified in the national park, which is also home to many endangered birds. The endangered Yellow-throated Bulbul and Grey-fronted Green Pigeon can be seen here. The endangered species of oriental white-backed vulture is also found in this national park.
Also different species of birds are visible here such as- Blue-faced Malkoha, Yellow-browed bulbul, Indian Scimitar-babbler, Loten’s Sunbird, Large hawk-cuckoo etc. You will be amazed to know that Sri Venkateswara National Park is also a free roaming area for different species of animals. Leopards with Wild Dogs, Golden Jackfruit, Indian Fox, Small Indian Civet and Jungle Cat are also common here. Samba, spotted deer, mouse deer, skinned deer, four-horned deer and wild boar are some of the major ungulates in this National Park.

How to reach:
By Air: The nearest airport is in Renigunta, which is around 16 km from Tirupati. Direct flights are also available from many major Indian cities like New Delhi, Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam and Bengaluru. After reaching the airport, you have to reach Tirupati first. Then you can easily hire a taxi, cab or take buses to reach Sri Venkateswara National Park.
By Train: Tirupati is the nearest railway station which is the main railway junction of the South Central Railway system. This railway station has regular direct trains from various nearby cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and several other cities. The nearby Gudur and Renigunta can also be reached by train. After reaching the railway station, you can easily hire a taxi or cab to reach Sri Venkateswara National Park.
By Road: Several kinds of buses are available from many other cities of Andhra Pradesh to Tirumala and Tirupati. Every two minutes you will get a bus to Tirupati. Direct buses are also available from Chennai, Vellore and Bengaluru, which also operate from Tirupati. You can also take private taxi, car or buses to reach Sri Venkateswara National Park from Tirupati because it’s around 10 km far away from Tirupati.
