Sayaji Baug which is also known as Kamati Baug is located in the city Vadodara under the state of Gujarat, India. The history behind Sayaji Baug
The huge garden “Sayaji Baug” was built by H.H Maharaja SayajiRao Gaekwad who was a great visionary ruler of Vadodara or Baroda. Maharaja donated his one private collection of Indian Exotic Animals to the zoo. The park was declared open to the public on 8th June 1879. This was constructed on the bank of the famous river Vishwamitri.

In this extremely beautiful garden, you will find a Museum and Picture gallery, Kid-friendly sights like a zoo, health museum, planetarium, an aquarium, and a toy train.
The picture gallery and the museum have multiple collections of art, sculpture, ethnography, and ethnology; much of them are gathered by Maharaja Sayaji Rao III, from India, China, and Japan. It has a decent Egyptian room with a mummy and an entire floor stuffed with wildlife specimens. In the gallery, you can see lovely Mughal miniatures and various crews of European masters.
