This tea estate was established in 1854 by an Englishman David Wilson. In 1903 T P Banerjee; a rich Bengali man from the Hooghly area, took the tea estate (Wilson estate) from Wilson. Later in the year 1929 T P Banerjee joined another adjacent tea estate (Windsor Tea estate) with the Wilson estate and combinedly named it as this Tea Estate. From the year 2008 Mr. Sanjay Bansal owns this Tea Estate.

This Tea Estate is situated on the downhill road. Visitors can see the beautiful tea gardens on the slopes of the hill. Inside the garden there is a tea tea production factory; tea production factory is a white colored building with red tinned roof. The tea bushes in this Tea Estate are aged more than hundred years. The employees of the tea garden act as the guide for the visitors. They will offer the visitors to take inside and show the different stages of the tea processing in the factory.
