The famous city Dharamsala is located in Kangra district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The city is well known as the residence of the Dalai Lama. By Train: The nearest rail link to Dharamsala is Mangalore. It is about 74 km away from Dharamshala. This well-known railway station is directly connected to all the major cities of India. 

By Bus: If you want you can easily go to Dharamsala, a town 90 km away from Pathankot, by bus, your time will be about 2 hours. Dharamsala can also be reached from Dalhousie. The distance is about 128 kilometers. In that case, you do not have to go to Pathankot. You can also easily reach Dharamsala by bus from Delhi or Chandigarh

By air: The nearest airport to Dharamsala is only 13 km away. This airport is popularly known as Gaggal Airport, Kangra Airport, or Dharamsala-Kangra Airport. It connects Delhi with Air India and SpiceJet.
