20. Gangtok, Sikkim

 About 60 years ago, Kathmandu was a popular honeymoon destination.  Now that Gangtok also has that trump card, Gangtok can give you almost everything that is eye-catching in Kathmandu.  The city’s site includes Deer Park (modeled on Sarnath’s Deer Park), the winding road to the Tsuklakhang Royal Chapel and the Monastery, the Secretariat, and the Orchid Sanctuary, home to about 600 species of orchids. Here are some of the richest cottage industries in the world to collect wood carvings. There is also Tshangu Lake which you should not return to without seeing from Gangtok. It will take two hours to reach this lake from the city.  This captivating lake is a special attraction for tourists and a very favorite place for photographers!  About 150 km from Gangtok is the Yumthang Valley, also known as the “Valley of Flowers”, where you will find 24 species of rhododendron flowers.  There are also lush green meadows, huge waterfalls, and fountains – all of which are a paradise for nature lovers.

21. Shillong, Meghalaya

  The state of Meghalaya is the first choice of those who are thirsty for travel, the green land of beauty. It is home to highly educated and modern Khasi, Jaintia and Garo peopleShillong; This place is a place of good food, nightlife and book-shaking music-loving tourists.  At Ward Lake, you can take a boat ride and visit the Botanical Gardens and Museums.  There is also Lady Hydari Park and the Japanese Garden.  If you want to make some memories, you can shop in the big market and have a picnic at Shillong Peak, the highest peak in Meghalaya.  You can take part in archery competitions if you want – this is a competition of various archery clubs.  Nearby is Elephant Falls. You can have a picnic there and cross the road a little further towards Cherrapunji and Umiam Lake.  The rainy season is the best time to see the roaring waterfalls there.

22. Cherrapunji, Meghalaya

 Located at the very edge of the Khasi Hills, the town is one of the best places to have fun in the vast greenery.  There is also the famous Seven Sister Falls.  Take your swimsuit with you and dive into the water.  You can visit the nearby seasonal caves there.  The two will be able to have a good time there.
